While the weather across the nation is warming up, J.Crew and its head of men's design, Frank Muytjens, debuted their fall collection recently and further extended their authority as one of the most storied brands of American style. The iconic images of Great Depression served as inspiration for the workwear-dominated outfits. Muytjens combined the functional elements and fabrics of the era with a more severe and cleaner silhouette. The look is modern yet rustic, using the likes of Harris Tweed and slim-cut denim and pops of flannel and navy.
How to get the look? Besides shopping at J.Crew: Dress up your denim. Roll up the jeans. Add a boot. And take in that peacoat just a hair.
